Info

At Arabizi Prospectif,  our aim is to recover,  preserve and reintroduce significant works of 20th- and 21st-century Arab literature – fiction,  poetry,  and criticism – that have been lost to  conflict,  physical decay or the limitations of language.

We focus on texts that are either out of print,  never before translated into English, be it from  Arabic or French,  or otherwise rendered inaccessible due to structural challenges within both the Arab publishing sphere and the global literary market.

These works remain largely absent from collections in both the Arab world and the Anglosphere,  and beyond the reach of researchers,  students and readers interested in the rich literary traditions of the Arab world.

Arabizi Prospectif exists not to commercialise these works but to archive and document them.

Each edition we produce is limited in scope and scale,  created with the express purpose of safeguarding these texts and making them accessible to those who would otherwise be unable to engage with them.

Arabizi Prospectif is supported by the Al-Tikriti Book Fund and the Naarm Literary Partnership.
